Since most people are concerned about their protruding midsection, I have chosen a few cardio workouts to melt away the fat accumulated over the abs.
Squat thrusts
Also known as Bur pees, this is one of the full-body moves involved in strength training. It’s a four-step process where you have to sit like a frog while supporting your weight with legs and arms. The second step is to extend the legs backwards as if you are ready to start push-ups. Go back to the frog position and then stand up. Take 10 to 15 fast reps and you will start feeling the heat in your arms, legs and midsection.
Mountain climber
“Mountain Climber” is a similar nature cardio that involves the core for proper balance. It is a simple workout with fewer chances of injuries. Start with a push-up position brings in one knee while the other leg remains straight. Switch legs and speed up the pace. The faster your cardio is, the better will be its results.
Jumping rope
Some of the major athletes and body builders use jumping rope as a calorie-scorcher. Besides burning fats, rope jumping gives muscular endurance. An individual of average weight loses a whopping 330 calories after one hour of jumping ropes. Nobody has to tell you how to skip a rope. Everyone knows that. However, when you are doing it for cardio rather than for fun, then you can certainly increase pace in order to improve stamina.

Swimming is a type of cardiovascular exercise that can chisel abs in a matter of weeks. However, it’s hard to continue swimming on regular basis. Swimming is exhausting and not everyone happens to have a pool at home. For some people who have taken swimming as a cardio, its hard to go to the pool every other day. Well, they can most definitely try their luck with other cardio exercises.
